Box 672 <br />Pasadena, Texas 77501 <br />Dear Charles: <br />I enclose herewith copies of proposed ordinances which <br />you originally prepared, which have been corrected, as <br />to legal descriptions and plats, by Mr. Fred Beck, Texas <br />Registered Public Surveyor, who is with the firm of H. <br />Carlos Smith, Engineers-Surveyors, Inc., of La Porte, <br />telephone number 471-4226. <br />TELEPHONE <br />71a a71-leaa <br />Mr. Beck has carefully reviewed the plats and field notes, <br />and has made a number of corrections, and you will want <br />to have your engineer contact Mr. Beck directly, so that <br />they may sit down together and review the corrections <br />which Mr. Beck has made. <br />The City Commission has requested that you furnish it with <br />xerox copies of the Deeds to the City of Pasadena, with <br />recording references, on the rodeo grounds site, and on <br />the civic center site. <br />As I previously advised you by telephone, the City of <br />La Porte had, at the time of the original ETJ Agreement <br />between La Porte and Pasadena, agreed that Pasadena would <br />have annexation jurisdiction over the San Jacinto College <br />one hundred forty-one acre site, at such time as Pasadena <br />chose to annex it. <br />In this request, you requested release of annexation <br />jurisdiction over the rodeo grounds and civic center sites, <br />to which the City of La Porte has no objection, and also, <br />release of the City of La Porte ETJ over the College View <br />Municipal Utility District Area. <br />The City of La Porte has maintained development control, <br />and bonded indebtedness control by Ordinance over the <br />district since its inception, and it is in the city planning <br />
