r 1., ` ~ • <br />-_ -- 7/~ <br />~~ ORDINANCE N0. 847 - <br />_• AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF PASADENA, TEXAS, AND THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, <br />FOR THE APPORTIONMENT OF EXTRATERRITORIAL LAND EXISTING WITHIN <br />THE EXTRATERRITORIAL OVERLAP JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF <br />PASADENA AND THE CITY OF LA PORTE WHEREIN THE TWO CITIES MUTUALLY <br />AGREE WITH EACH OTHER WHAT LAND WITHIN THIS OVERLAP AREA WILL <br />BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND WHAT AREA WITHIN THIS <br />OVERLAP LAND WILL BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF PASADENA; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE BY <br />THE MAYOR AND ATTESTATION BY THE CITY CLERK; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br />Section 1. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby authorized <br />r <br />~•`_ ••/ <br />to execute for and on behalf of the City of La Porte and the <br />City Clerk to attest an agreement between the City of Pasadena, <br />Texas, and the City of La Porte, Texas, for the apportionment <br />of extraterritorial land existing within the overlap jurisdiction <br />of the City of Pasadena and the City of La Porte wherein the <br />two cities mutually agree as to the land to be annexed to the <br />City of Pasadena and the land to be annexed to the City of <br />La Porte, a copy of which is attached hereto for reference <br />purposes only. <br />Section 2. The City Commission of the City of La Porte <br />•,`. r, <br />hereby approves the .form and substance of the agreement between <br />the City of Pasadena and the City of La Porte whereby the apportion- <br />ment of extraterritorial land existing within the overlap juris- <br />diction of the City of Pasadena and the City of La Porte is <br />apportioned between the two cities. A copy of this exchange agree- <br />ment has been exhibited to the Commission. <br />Section 3.
