<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />e e <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1336 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING GUIDELINES FOR THE ISSUANCE OF TAX <br />EXEMPT INDUSTRIAL REVENUE BONDS; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section l. The City Council of the City of La Porte <br /> <br />has previously approved the creation of the Ci ty of La Porte <br />Industrial DevelOpment Corporation. Further, the City Council <br /> <br />of the City of La Porte, by prior resolutions, has established <br /> <br />conditions and standards for approving commercial projects for <br /> <br />industrial revenue bond financing, and goals and objectives <br /> <br />for the City's eligible blighted area. <br /> <br />Section 2. By this Ordinance, the City Council of the <br /> <br />City of La Porte hereby establishes as the policy of the City <br /> <br />of La Porte, that the City Council of the City of La Porte will <br /> <br />not approve applications for the use of industrial revenue bonds <br /> <br />to finance container yards; mobile home parks; free-standing <br /> <br />liquor stores; golf courses or country clubs; racquetball <br /> <br />courts or heal th clubs; race tracks and hot tub or sun tan <br /> <br />facilities; automobile sales facilities; recreation, entertain- <br /> <br />ment, and sports facilities; as well as buildings used for the <br />. sale of pornographic materials. <br />Section 3. The City Council officially finds, determines, <br /> <br />.~ <br /> <br />recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the <br /> <br />date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City <br /> <br />Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the <br /> <br />Ci ty Hall of the City for the time required by law preced ing <br /> <br />this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article <br /> <br />6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this <br /> <br />meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all <br /> <br />times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof <br /> <br />has been discussed, considered and formally acted upon.
