<br />- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />'ORDINANCE N'O. 1320 <br />AN 'ORDINANCE DENYING THE PETITION, OF' UNION CARB:IDE: CORPORATI'ON <br />'BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 'OF THE CITY 'OF LA P'ORTE: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br />finds, determines and declares that Union Carbide Corporation has <br />filed with the City Secretary of the City La Porte a petition <br />requesting single metering of its seven unit air separation <br />plant. That petition alleges that one of the seven units is <br />currently located within the municipal boundaries of the City of <br />La Porte, while the other six units are not located within any <br />municipality. A copy of Union Carbide's petition, and the <br />response of Houston Lighting and Power Company, are attached <br />hereto, incorporated by reference herein, and made a part hereof <br />for all purposes. <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br />finds, determines and declares that Union Carbide's petition <br />requests relief concerning electrical service to areas both <br />within and without the City of La Porte's jurisdiction. The <br />issues ~aised by that petition involve questions of load manage- <br />ment, electric engineering and other matters. <br />Section 3. The City Council officially determines, recites and <br />declares that the petition of Union Carbide Corporation is <br />denied. <br />Section 4. The City Council officially finds, determines, <br />recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the <br />date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council <br />was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall <br />of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, <br />as required by' -the--Open--Meet'ings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas <br />Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been <br />open to the public as required by law at all times during which <br />this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, <br />
