Richnow mow the grass on said airport and make and bale hay therefrom under the following terms and conditions. THE STATE OF TEXAS ][ COUNTY OF HARRIS ][ This agreement between the CITY OF LA PORTE, as a party of the first part, and W. RICHNOW, party of the second part. WITNESSETH: I. Par t y 0 f the s e con d part hereby agrees to mow the Hou - Port Airport located on Spencer Highway, four (4) times before August 17, 1962, and shall have for his services nine (9) of each ten (10) bales of hay, baled from these mowings. II. Party of the second part hereby promises and agrees that he shall hold the City harmless from liability for any accident or any damages that may arise during his operation in the mowing and shall replace at his expense any broken tile or electrical conduits or runway lights that may be damaged as a result of his operation. III. Party of the second part agrees to enter the premises only at the Armory Entrance. IV. Party of the first part agrees to accept delivery of each tenth bale of hay on the premises. V. It is agreed by both parties that the party of the second part is an in- dependent contractor and that the..Ci~ shall not be responsible for the wages or injuries of the party of the ~opa1:-t or any of his employees or servants.
