<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. l482-B <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING AN ABSENTEE BALLOT BOARD FOR THE CITY OF LA PORTE ELECTION <br />ON APRIL 5, 1986; APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY '!HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. An Absentee Ballot Board is hereby created to process Absentee <br /> <br />voting results for the joint election to be held April 5, 1986, and the runoff <br /> <br />election, if necessary, to be held on April 27, 1986. GWEN VANN is appointed <br /> <br />presiding judge of the Absentee Ballot Board. At least two (2) other members of <br /> <br />the Absentee Ballot Board shall be appointed by the presiding judge, in the same <br /> <br />manner as the precinct election clerks. <br /> <br />Section 2. MIRIAM GORE is appointed presiding judge of Election Precinct No.3. <br /> <br />Section 3. GRACIE ESCOBEDA is appointed presiding judge of Election Precinct <br /> <br />No.5. LORRAINE MILLER is appointed alaternate presiding judge of Election Precinct <br /> <br />No.5. <br /> <br />Section 4. Except as hereby amended, Ordinance No. l482-A shallranain in full <br /> <br />force and effect. <br /> <br />Section 5. The City Council officially finds, determines, recites and declares <br /> <br />that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting <br /> <br />of the City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall <br /> <br />of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the <br /> <br />Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-1, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that <br />this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which <br /> <br />this Ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered and <br /> <br />formally acted upon.
