Coordinate establishment of procedures for employing <br />temporary personnel for disaster operations. <br />b. Financial Protection <br /> <br />Primary tasks: <br />a. Establish emergency purchasing pr.ocedures and/or a <br />disaster contingency fund. <br />b. Maintain records of emergency related expenditures for <br />purchases and personnel. <br />c. Evaluate effect of damage on city's economic index, <br />tax base, bond ratings, insurance ratings, etc., for <br />use in long-range recovery planning. <br /> <br />Finance O~~icer <br />Purchasinl Manager <br /> <br />13. Damage Assessment <br /> <br />Director Community Development <br /> <br />Primary tasks: <br />a. Establish a damage assessment team from among City <br />departments wi th assessment capabil i ties and <br />responsibilities. <br />b. Train and provide damage plotting team to EOC. <br />c. Develop systems for reporting and compiling <br />information on deaths, injuries, dollar damage to <br />tax-supported facilities, and to private property. <br />d. Assist in determining geographic extent of damaged <br />area. <br />e. Compile estimate of damage for use by city officials <br />in requesting disaster assistance. <br /> <br />Refer to Damage Assessment Service Annex for additional <br />information. <br /> <br />14. Transportation <br /> <br />Equipment Services Superintendent <br /> <br />Primary tasks: <br />a. Identify local transportation resources and arrange <br />for their use in emergencies. <br />b. Coordinate deployment of transportation equipment to <br />city services requiring augmentation. <br />c. Establis'h and maintain a reserve pool of drivers, <br />maintenance personnel, parts, and tools. <br />d. Maintain records on use of privately-owned <br />transportation equipment and personnel for purpose of <br />possible reimbursement. <br /> <br />Refer to Transportation Service Annex for further explanation of <br />stated duties. <br />
