<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. l50l-J <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1501, BY CHANGING THE <br />CLASSIFICATIONS OF'THOSE CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND HEREIN DESCRIBED, <br />SAID PARCELS BEING FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE BAYSHORE MUNICIPAL UTILITY <br />DISTRICT, ANNEXED BY THE CITY OF LA PORTE ON DECEMBER 31, 19881 <br />DIVIDING SAID NEWLY ANNEXED AREA INTO DISTRICTS OF SUCH NUMBER AND <br />AREA AS ARE DEEMED BEST SUITED TO CARRY OUT THE REGULATIONS <br />EMBODIED IN SAID ORDINANCE 15011 FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW 1 PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON OR CORPORATION VIOLATING <br />ANY OF THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE 1501 OR ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO, <br />INCLUDING THIS ORDINANCE, SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR, <br />AND UPON CONVICTION, SHALL BE LIABLE TO A FINE NOT TO EXCEED <br />$1,000.00, WITH EACH DAY OF VIOLATION CONSTITUTING A SEPARATE <br />OFFENSE 1 PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY. CLAUSE 1 AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br /> <br />finds, determines and declares that heretofore, to-wit, on the 27th <br /> <br />day of April, 1989, at 7:00 p.m. a Public Hearing was held before <br /> <br />the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of La Porte, Texas, <br /> <br />pursuant to due notice, to consider the question of the possible <br /> <br />classification of the hereinafter described parcels of land that <br /> <br />formerly comprised the Bayshore Municipal Utility District, said <br /> <br />parcels of land being annexed by the City of La Porte on December <br /> <br />31, 1988, by Ordinance 1626 of the City of La Porte. <br /> <br />There is <br /> <br />attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit "A", and incorporated by <br /> <br />reference herein and made a part hereof for all purposes, a copy of <br /> <br />"Notice of Public Hearing" which the City Council of the City of La <br /> <br />Porte hereby finds was properly mailed to all owners of all <br /> <br />properties located within two hundred feet (200') of the properties <br /> <br />under consideration. <br /> <br />Section 2. The Publisher's Affidavit of Publication of not- <br /> <br />ice of said hearing is attached hereto as Exhibit "B", incorporated <br />by reference herein and made a part hereof for all purposes. <br /> <br />Section 3. Subsequent to such public hearing, the City of La <br /> <br />Porte Planning & Zoning Commission met in regular session on April <br />27, 1989, to consider the establishment of zoning classifications <br /> <br />for the area formerly known as the Bayshore Municipal Utility <br /> <br />District which were the subject of such public hearing. <br /> <br />The City <br /> <br />Council of the City of La Porte is in receipt of the written <br /> <br />recommendations of the City of La Porte Planning and Zoning <br /> <br />Commission, embodied in the preliminary report of the Planning and <br /> <br />Zoning Commission, dated April 27, 1989, the original of which <br />
