<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br />Section 2 - BOO Land Use Districts <br /> <br />For the purpose of this Ordinance, the City of La Porte is hereby <br />divided into land use developmen~ districts as follow: <br /> <br />District Symbol <br /> <br />District <br /> <br />R-1 <br />R-2 <br />R-3 <br />MH <br />NC <br />GC <br />CR <br />BI <br />LI <br />HI <br />PUD <br /> <br />Low density residential <br />Mid density residential <br />High density residential <br />Manufactured housing district <br />Neighborhood commercial district <br />General commercial district <br />Commercial recreation district <br />Business-industrial park district <br />Light industrial <br />Heavy industrial <br />Planned unit development district <br /> <br />ARTICLE THREE: <br /> <br />DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />Section 1 - 100 Definitions <br /> <br />For the purpose of this Ordinance, certain terms and words are hereby <br />defined; terms not defined herein shall be construed in accordance with <br />adopted building codes or their customary usage and meaning. <br /> <br />Abutting: Having property or district lines in common, or two (2) <br />objects in immediate contact. <br /> <br />Access: Means of approaching or entering a property, includes a right <br />of passage to and from an adjacent street. <br /> <br />Accessory Use or Building: An "accessory use or building" is one <br />customarily a part thereof, which is clearly incidental and secondary to <br />permitted use and which does not change the character thereof, including <br />but not 1 imi ted to garages, carports, bathhouses, greenhouses, tool <br />sheds, or swimming pools. <br /> <br />Accessory Structure: A detached, subordinate structure, the use of.-. <br />which is clearly incidental and related to that of the principal <br />structure or use of the land, and which is located in the same lots as <br />that of the principal structure or use. <br /> <br />AIley: A public way which, when at least twenty feet (20') in width, <br />may be used for vehicular service access to the back or side of <br />properties otherwise abutting on a street or highway. <br /> <br />EXHIBIT D <br />
