<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 1501-C, Page 2 <br /> <br />a public hearing was held before the City Council of the City of La <br /> <br />Porte, Texas, pursuant to due notice, to consider the recommenda- <br /> <br />tion of the City of La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission. There <br /> <br />is attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit "C", and incorporated by <br /> <br />reference herein and made a part hereof for all purposes, the <br /> <br />publisher's affidavit of publication of notice of said public <br />hearing for the City Council of the City of La Porte. <br /> <br />Section 4. <br /> <br />The City council of the City of La Porte hereby <br /> <br />finds, determines and declares that all prerequisites of law have <br /> <br />been satisfied, and hereby determines and declares that the <br /> <br />amendments to the City of La Porte Ordinance No. 1501, the Zoning <br /> <br />Ordinance of the City of La Porte, are desirable and in furtherance <br /> <br />of the goals and objectives stated in the City of La Porte's com- <br /> <br />prehensive plan. <br /> <br />Section 5. <br /> <br />Article III, of the Zoning Ordinance of the City <br /> <br />of La Porte is hereby amended by -adding and/or amending the <br /> <br />definitions contained on pages 5 through 18 of Exhibit "D", which <br /> <br />additions and amendments are reflected by a solid black line <br /> <br />appearing in the margin next to such added or changed material. <br /> <br />The definitions added or amended are as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br />Alley, Business Frontage, Developed Site Area, Freestanding Sign or <br />Ground Sign, Glare, Grand Opening, Identification Sign, Landscaped, <br />Light Truck, Lot Coverage, New Business, Office Trailer, Off- <br />Premise Sign, On-Premise Sign, Roof Line, Set Back (Sign Measure- <br />ment), Shipping Containers, Shopping Center or Integrated Develop- <br />ment, Site Triangle, Single Family Residential-Large Lot, Sign, <br />Standard Industrial Classification Code (S.I.C.), and Yard (Front). <br /> <br />Said Exhibit "D" is attached in full hereto, and is fully <br /> <br />incorporated by reference herein and made a part hereof for all <br /> <br />purposes as if set forth verbatim herein. <br /> <br />Section 6. Article IV, Section 4-100, Section 4-200, Section <br /> <br />4-201.7, and Section 4-202.4 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of <br /> <br />La Porte are hereby amended, modifying residential survey require- <br /> <br />ments, and adding the calendar time period to enable determination <br /> <br />of abandonment of non-conforming structures and uses. Said changes <br /> <br />are highlighted by a black line in the right-hand margin appearing <br />next to said changed material on pages 18 through 21 inclusive, of <br /> <br />Exhibit "D". <br />
