Driv~waY Aooroaches <br /> <br />Driveway approaches shall be a minimum two feet (2') <br />from the side property line in residential districts, <br />and ten feet (10') from the side property line in <br />business or industrial districts, or R-3 residential <br />districts. <br /> <br />6. Surfacing <br /> <br />All areas intended to be utilized for parking space and <br />driveways shall be surfaced with materials suitable to <br />control dust and drainage. Except in the case of single <br />family and two family dwellings, driveways and stalls <br />shall be surfaced in conformance with the Public Improve- <br />ments Criteria Manual. Plans for surfacing and drainage <br />of driveway and stalls for five (5) or more vehicles <br />shall be submitted to the Director of Community Develop- <br />ment for his review and the final drainage plan shall be <br />subject to his written approval. <br /> <br />7. Striping <br /> <br />Except for single family, two family and townhouse <br />dwellings, all parking stalls shall be marked with <br />painted lines not less than four inches (4") wide. <br /> <br />8. Lighting <br /> <br />Any lighting used to illuminate an off-street parking <br />area shall be so arranged as to reflect the light away <br />from adjoining property, abutting residential uses and <br />public right-of-way. <br /> <br />9. Curbing <br /> <br />Except for single family, two family and townhouse dwellings, <br />all open off-street parking shall have a curb barrier not <br />closer than two feet (2') to all street frontage. <br /> <br />10. Reauired Screening <br /> <br />All open, non-residential off-street parking areas of <br />five (5) or more spaces shall be screened from abutting <br />residential districts. The screening required shall <br />consist of the following: <br /> <br />..... <br /> <br />a. A planting strip shall consist of evergreen ground- <br />cover, and shall be of sufficient width and density <br />to provide an effective'screen. The planting strip <br />shall contain no structures or other use. Such ' <br />planting strip shall not be less than six feet (6') <br />in height. Earth mounding or berms may be used, <br />but shall not be used to achieve more than two feet <br />(2') of the required screen. <br />
