Armstrong, Assistant City Attorney, CLP <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Proposed Zoning Ordinance, Analysis of Public Hearing Comments <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />August 29, 1985 <br /> <br />Please recall that the Planning & Zoning Commission, CLP held a <br />publ ic hearing on the proposed new Zon ing Ord inance for the City of <br />LaPorte on the 15th day of August, 1985. At this public hearing, <br />extensive citizen input on the proposed Ordinance was obtained. <br />After the close of the publ ic hearing, the Planning & Zoning Commission <br />directed staff to identify and review the public comment received <br />on the proposed Ordinance, and present it to the Commission in a <br />. format, that relates each particular citizen comment to the section <br />of the Ordinance effected by the citizen comment, together with a <br />staff analysis of the citizen comment in relationship to the proposed <br />Zoning Ordinance, and in relationship to the Comprehensive Plan as <br />adc;>pted by the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of LaPorte. <br /> <br />This letter contains the review <br />analysis of the citizen input <br />Ordinance and the comprehensive <br />Planning & Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />of the citizen input and the staff <br />in relationship to .the proposed <br />Plan that was requested by the <br /> <br />The writers have spent extensive time reviewing the citizen ,input, <br />and placing the citizen input into an organizational format that <br />clearly relates to the proposed Ordinance and Comprehensive Plan. <br />Each citizen comment will be identified, followed by a short staff <br />impact analysis of the comment in relationship to the Ordinance <br />sections effected by the citizen comment, followed again by a staff <br />analysis of the proposed Ordinance section and the citizen comment <br />in relationship to the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Staff makes no clear recommendations regarding acceptance or rejection <br /> <br />3ft <br />
