<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 1501, Page 4 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all requirements of Article 1011f of the Revised <br /> <br /> <br />Civil Statutes of the State of Texas, with regard to the preparation <br /> <br /> <br />of reports, public hearings, and notice have been met by the Planning <br /> <br />and Zoning Commission of the City of La Porte and the City Council of <br /> <br /> <br />the City of La Porte; <br /> <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> <br />THE CITY OF LA PORTE. <br /> <br /> <br />Section 1. The Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map of the City of <br /> <br /> <br />La Porte, which is attached to this ordinance as Exhibit "G", and is <br /> <br /> <br />fully incorporated by reference herein, is hereby adopted as the <br /> <br /> <br />Official Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of La Porte. <br /> <br /> <br />section 2. If any section, sentence, phrase, clause, or any <br /> <br />part of any section, sentence, phrase, or clause of this ordinance <br /> <br /> <br />shall, for any reason, be held invalid, such invalidity shall not <br /> <br /> <br />affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, and it is hereby <br /> <br />declared to be the intention of the City Council to have passed each <br /> <br /> <br />section, sentence, phrase, or clause, or part thereof, irrespective of <br /> <br />the fact that any other section, sentence, phrase or clause, or any <br /> <br />part thereof, may be declared invalid. <br /> <br /> <br />Section 3. All rights or remedies of the City of La Porte, County <br /> <br /> <br />of Harris, State of Texas, are expressly saved as to any and all <br /> <br />violations of the Zoning Ordinance together with the Map incorporated <br /> <br /> <br />therein, or amendments thereto, of said City of La Porte, that have <br /> <br />accrued at the time of the effective date of this Ordinance are <br /> <br /> <br />hereby expressly reserved; and as to such accrued violations, any <br /> <br />Court of competent jurisdiction shall have all the powers that existed <br /> <br />prior to the effective date of this ordinance; and that all existing <br /> <br /> <br />violations of previous zoning ordinances which would otherwise become <br /> <br /> <br />non-conforming uses under this ordinance shall be considered violations <br /> <br />of this ordinance in the same manner that they were violations of <br /> <br /> <br />prior zoning ordinances of said City of La Porte. <br />
