Ordinance No. 1501, Page 4 WHEREAS, all requirements of Article 1011f of the Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texas, with regard to the preparation of reports, public hearings, and notice have been met by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of La Porte and the City Council of the City of La Porte; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE. Section 1. The Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map of the City of La Porte, which is attached to this ordinance as Exhibit "G", and is fully incorporated by reference herein, is hereby adopted as the Official Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of La Porte. section 2. If any section, sentence, phrase, clause, or any part of any section, sentence, phrase, or clause of this ordinance shall, for any reason, be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, and it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council to have passed each section, sentence, phrase, or clause, or part thereof, irrespective of the fact that any other section, sentence, phrase or clause, or any part thereof, may be declared invalid. Section 3. All rights or remedies of the City of La Porte, County of Harris, State of Texas, are expressly saved as to any and all violations of the Zoning Ordinance together with the Map incorporated therein, or amendments thereto, of said City of La Porte, that have accrued at the time of the effective date of this Ordinance are hereby expressly reserved; and as to such accrued violations, any Court of competent jurisdiction shall have all the powers that existed prior to the effective date of this ordinance; and that all existing violations of previous zoning ordinances which would otherwise become non-conforming uses under this ordinance shall be considered violations of this ordinance in the same manner that they were violations of prior zoning ordinances of said City of La Porte.
