. e AFFIDAVIT AND AGREEMENT TRW REDI is a joint venture partnership of TRW, Inc., and Elsevier, NV. TRW REDI affirms that it is in the business of reporting the status of Harris County property taxes to the Title Insurance industry, FDIC, and other financially related markets. National real estate tax service agencies such as Transamerica and First American Real Estate Tax Service are also customers of TRW RED!. The property tax databases maintained by TRW REDI are separate and not connected in any way to the data bases of TRW's consumer and business credit businesses, nor is the property tax data shared with other TRW components. In the course of its normal business, TRW REDI collects real property tax information on computer readable magnetic tape from many of the tax collecting agencies situated within the boundaries of Harris County. This information is reformatted and placed in the TRW REDI databases where it is available for access by the Title Insurance company and other financially related customers that conduct business or have an interest in property within Harris County. Computer terminals are placed in. the customer offices which facilitate their inquiries into the TRW REDI databases. TRW REDI further affirms that: 1 . It is willing to enter into separate agreement with the City of LaPorte for use of the city's and school district's property tax information. Said use is to provide tax reports to the Title Insurance industry and related financial markets. 2. The purchased data will M1 be copied in whole and distributed to third parties without the expressed written authorization from the City of LaPorte. 3. It recognizes that the information contained in their databases will never be as current as the City's, however, TRW REDI will use its best efforts to maintain the maximum current status of its information. CONDITIONS OF AGREEMENT In consideration of the agreement from the City of LaPorte ("City"), the information from its files on magnetic tape or cartridge any other electronic media, TRW REDI agrees: 1 . City v"v'm provide a tape cartridge of the city's and school district's tax data to TRW REDI on the 5th and 20th of each month. TRW REDI will provide all media necessary. 2. Any and all information in the original form provided to TRW REDI under this agreement is for use of TRW REDI only and will not be conveyed in such original form to any firm or individual. 3. CITY DOES NOT GUARANTEE, NOR ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ACCURACY OF THE INFORMATION. 4. The City or any of its officials, agents or employees will be held harmless and TRW REDI will waive any liability that may accrue due to any negligence for data errors of any type or due to any cause whatsoever. 5.
