For the purposes of this contract, Bins are <br />containers of 2,3, 4, 6, 8 and 10 cubic yards designed <br />for collection with a front-loading collection vehicle, <br />and Bins that are 20, 30, and 40 cubic yards, designed <br />for collection with a tilt-loading collection vehicle, <br />also called Roll-off. <br /> <br />BULKY WASTE - Appliances, water tanks, furni ture and <br />other waste materials, other than Construction Debris, <br />Dead Animals, Hazardous Waste or Stable Matter with <br />weights or volumes greater than those allowed for Bins. <br /> <br />CITY - City of La Porte, Texas. <br /> <br />COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL REFUSE - All Bulky Waste, <br />Construction Debris, Garbage, Rubbish and Stable Matter <br />generated by a Producer at a Commercial and Industrial <br />Unit. <br /> <br />COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL UNIT - All premises, locations <br />or entities, public or private, requiring refuse <br />collection within the corporate limits of the city, other <br />than a single-family Residential Unit. For the purposes <br />of these specifications, apartments, condominiums and <br />townhomes, and trailer parks are considered Commercial <br />Units. <br /> <br />CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS - Waste building materials resulting <br />from construction, remodeling, repair or demolition <br />operations. <br /> <br />CONTRACT DOCUMENTS The Request for Proposal, <br />Instructions to Proposers, Affidavit, Proposal, Proposal <br />Bond, Contract, General Specifications, including Exhibit <br />A, B, C and D, Performance Bond and any addenda or <br />changes to the foregoing documents agreed to by the City <br />and the Contractor. <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR Browning-Ferris, Inc., or its duly <br />authorized successor, performing Commercial and <br />Industrial Refuse Collection and Disposal with the City <br />under the terms of the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />PAGE 3 OF 21 <br />
