. . Ordinance No. 95-2079 , Page 3 Section 7. Section 8-49 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte is hereby amended, to hereafter read as follows to-wit: "Section 8-49. Adopted. The Standard Gas Code, 1994 Edition, and appendices as adopted by the Southern Building code Congress International, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Secretary of the City of La Porte, Harris County, Texas, is hereby adopted and designated as the Gas Code of the City of La Porte, incorporated by reference in this article, and made a part hereof, as fully as if copied at length herein." Section 8. Section 8-66 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte is hereby amended, to hereafter read as follows, to-wit: "Section 8-66. Adopted. The Standard Mechanical Code, 1994 Edition, and appendices as adopted by the Southern Building Code Congress International, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Secretary of the City of La Porte, Harris County, Texas, is hereby adopted and designated as the Mechanical Code of the City of La Porte, incorporated by referenced in this article, and made a part hereof, as fully as if copied at length herein. " Section 9. H any section, sentence, phrase, clause, or any part of any section, sentence, phrase, or clause, of the ordinance shall, for any reason, be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of the Ordinance, and it is hereby declared to be the intention of this City Council to have passed each section, sentence, phrase or clause, or part thereof, irrespective of the fact that any other section, sentence, phrase or clause, or part thereof, may be declared invalid.
