Box 1587 <br />La Porte, TX 77572 <br /> <br />Dear Ladies and Gentlemen: <br /> <br />This letter will confirm agreements which have been reached between <br />representatives of Brookglen community Improvement Association and <br />the ci ty of La Porte, for the Brookglen Community Improvement <br />Association to convey the remainder of the property described as <br />Reserve lilli, Block 8, Brookglen, Section 2 (Replat), Harris County, <br />Texas, to the city of La porte, to be used by the City of La Porte <br />solely for public park purposes. <br /> <br />I have enclosed a proposed Warranty Deed, and a proposed Resolution <br />for consideration by your Board of Directors, which is attached to <br />the Warranty Deed. <br /> <br />When approved by your Board of Directors, these documents, together <br />with this letter agreement, will be placed on the next city Council <br />agenda for approval by City council. <br /> <br />The city of La Porte will agree to accept the Deed as a donation, <br />and the city of La Porte will agree to immediately assume and <br />discharge an approximately $14,500.00 debt incurred by the <br />Association for the improvement of the swimming pool and bath <br />houses on the property. Upon completion of this transaction, the <br />Parks and Recreation Department of the City of La Porte will assume <br />the operation and maintenance of the park facility, including, but <br />not limited to necessary alterations to the swimming pool bath <br />houses to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and <br />improvements or replacement, of playground equipment, to meet the <br />requirements of the Federal Consumer Products Safety Commission. <br /> <br />The City of La Porte is pleased to receive this addition to its <br />public park system. <br /> <br />P.Q.BoxII15 0 Ln Pone, Texas 77572-1115 0 (713)471-5020 <br />
