A workshop will be conducted with your staff and <br />the MIS Steering Committee to discuss the design and identify any changes. The changes will be made <br />and the design will be used to develop the "Network Plan". <br /> <br />Professional Hours: 24 <br /> <br />Task 4: <br /> <br />Develop Network Plan <br /> <br />During this task, our consultants will develop a network (communications) plan for the City. This Plan <br />will make specific recommendations concerning: <br /> <br />. Any conversion issues (i.e. from one word processing system to another) <br /> <br />. E-Mail and scheduling products <br /> <br />. InterNet Access and Security <br /> <br />. DOS to Windows conversion <br /> <br />. Estimated costs <br /> <br />. Server configurations based upon current technology (and recommendations for the <br />future -- based upon technology trends) <br /> <br />. Support issues (network and product) <br /> <br />. Use of lease lines, fiber optics, FrameRelay, Tl, ISDN, etc. for connectivity of "all <br />appropriate" City users. <br /> <br />Once the Plan is developed, a "Rough" draft will be presented and discussed with the MIS Steering <br />Committee and City Management. Identified changes will be made prior to the Plan being finalized. <br /> <br />Professional Hours: 56 <br /> <br />Task 5: Planning for Two New Systems: Parks & Recreation and Fleet <br />Maintenance <br /> <br />During Task 5, our consultants will meet with the representitives of both areas. Discussions will be <br />conducted to determine information system needs and various product availability. A brief action plan <br />will be developed. The "Plan" will contain a statement of needs, potential systems, and estimated costs <br />for acquisition and implementation. The "Plan" will be presented to the MIS Steering Committee <br />during the same workshop contained within Task 4. <br /> <br />Professional Hours: 30 <br />
