<br />Ordinance No. 97-21_ <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />penalty is expressly provided, shall apply to the amendment of any Code section, <br /> <br />whether or not such penalty is reenacted in the amendatory ordinance. In addition to <br /> <br />the penalty prescribed above, the city may pursue other remedies such as abatement <br /> <br />of nuisances, injunctive relief and revocation of licenses or permits, <br /> <br />Section 5. Additions or amendments to the Code when passed in the form as <br /> <br />to indicate the intention of the city to make the same part of the Code shall be deemed <br /> <br />to be incorporated in the Code, so that reference to the Code includes the additions and <br /> <br />amendments, <br /> <br />Section 6. Ordinances adopted after April 14, 1997, that amend or refer to <br /> <br />ordinance that have been codified in the Code shall be construed as if they amend or <br /> <br />refer to like provisions of the Code. <br /> <br />Section 7. The City Council officially finds, determines, recites and declares <br /> <br />that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the <br /> <br />City Council is posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the city for <br /> <br />the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the Chapter 551, Tx. <br /> <br />Gov't Code; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all <br /> <br />times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, <br /> <br />considered and formally acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and <br /> <br />confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof, <br /> <br />Section 8. If any section, sentence, phrase, clause, or any part of any section, <br /> <br />sentence, phrase, or clause, of this ordinance shall, for any reason, be held invalid, <br /> <br />such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, and it is hereby <br />
