<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />SECTION 1 - BASIC SERVICES OF ENGINEER <br /> <br />1.1 GENERAL <br /> <br />1.1.1 Engineer shall provide for Owner professional Engineering/Architectural services in <br />all phases of the Project to which this Agreement applies as hereinafter provided. These <br />services will include serving as Owners professional representative for the Project, <br />providing professional consultation and advice and furnishing customary structural, <br />mechanical, and electrical engineering services incidental thereto. <br /> <br />1.1.2 The Engineer's services shall be performed as expeditiously as is consistent with <br />professional skill and care and the orderly progress of the work. The Engineer shall <br />submit for the Owner's approval a schedule for the performance of the Engineer's <br />services, which shall include allowances for periods of time required for the Owner's <br />review and for approval of submissions by authorities having jurisdiction over the Project. <br />Time limits established by this schedule approved by the Owner shall not, except for <br />reasonable cause, be exceeded by the Engineer. <br /> <br />1.1.3 The ENGINEERING/ARCHITECTURAL services consist of those services <br />performed by the Engineer, Engineer's employees and Engineer's consultants employed <br />as hereinafter provided. <br /> <br />1.2 SCHEMATIC DESIGN PHASE - OMITTED <br /> <br />1.3 DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PHASE <br /> <br />After written authorization to proceed with the Design Development Phase, Engineer <br />shall: <br /> <br />1.3.1 In consultation with Owner and based on any adjustments authorized (in writing) <br />by the Owner in the program schedule or construction budget, the Engineer shall <br />determine the general scope, extent and character of the Project. <br /> <br />1.3.2 The Engineer shall prepare Design Development documents consisting of final <br />design criteria, preliminary drawings, outline specifications and written descriptions of the <br />Project. <br /> <br />1.3.3 Advise Owner if additional data or services of the type described in paragraph 3.4 <br />are necessary and assist Owner in obtaining such data and services. <br /> <br />1.3.4 Based on the information contained in the Design Development documents, <br />
