His <br />duties are as 'follows: <br /> <br />19.02 Administrative Official <br /> <br />Except as otherwise provided in this Ordinance the City Inspector <br />for the City of Lomax shall administer and enforce this Ordinance, including <br />the receiving of applications, the inspection of premises and issuing of <br />building permits and certificat~s of occupancy and compliance. No building <br />permit or certificate of occupancy shall be issued by him except where the <br />provisions of this Ordinance have been complied with. <br /> <br />The above section specifies the City Inspector shall be the Adminis- <br /> <br />trative Official of the Zoning Ordinance and it is his duty to administer <br /> <br />the Zoning Ordinance and enforce the terms and conditions of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />He shall receive the applications for building permits and for certifi- <br /> <br />cates of occupancy and compliance. It is his determination as to whether <br /> <br />they should be granted or 'not granted unless the Board of Adjustment, where <br /> <br />given the necessary power, has granted the permit after the proper hearing <br /> <br />and procedure. His approval or disapproval of any building permit or <br /> <br />certificate of occupancy and compliance should be in writing and where <br /> <br />he has disapproved it, his reasons should be stated. He shall inspect the <br /> <br />premises and determine if the Zoning Ordinance is being complied with. <br /> <br />His powers are set forth in Section 19.03, 1 and 2 which are as follows: <br /> <br />19.03 Powers and Duties <br /> <br />1. Whenever work is being done contrary to the provisions of <br />this ,Ordinance, the City Inspector may order the work stopped <br />and also revoke the building permit theretofore issued by notice <br />in writing served on any person owning such property or their <br />agent or any person engaged in the doing or causing of such work <br />to be done and any such person shall stop and cause to be stopped <br />such wo~k until authorized by the City Inspector to recommence <br />and proc~ed with the work or upon issuance of a building permit <br />in thes~' cases in which the building permit has been revoked and <br />further,: such stop work order and revocation of permit shall b~ <br />posted o~ the work being done in violation of this Ordinance. <br />Notice ~f any stop work order or revocation of a building permit <br />shall bd submitted to the Board within three (3) days of issuance. <br /> <br />2.
