The Policy provides that employees may not take vacation in periods of less than one regularly scheduled <br />work day. Staff has determined that employees would benefit if the policy were changed to allow vacation in four <br />(4) hour increments, in addition to a full regularly scheduled work day. This would allow employees to take care of <br />personal business without having to take a full day vacation. <br /> <br />Chapter 6, Section 6, Paragraph 8 of the City's Personnel Policy Manual would be changed as follows: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />8. Vacation leave may not be taken in periods ofless than one regularly scheduled work day. <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />8.
