Area Map <br /> <br />SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Terranova Forest Products has recently'approached the City to request water and sanitary sewer service to <br />their site. Their business is to be located at 9600 New Century Drive in the newly developed Bayport North <br />Industrial Park. <br /> <br />Council has approved a policy to provide utility service to companies located outside city limits but within the <br />industrial district. These companies must maintain a current Industrial District Agreements with the City. <br />Terranova wishes to pursue water and sanitary sewer service under the terms of the policy. Based on 80n- <br />site employees, the average daily demand is estimated to be 400 gallons. Terranova will pay one and one- <br />half (1-~) times the City's current utility rate. The term ofthe Water Service Agreement and Sanitary Sewer <br />Service Agreement expires on December 31, 2007, plus any renewals and extensions thereof. However, <br />the agreements shall automatically expire at such time as there is no effective Industrial District Agreement <br />between the parties or if the city exercises the right of termination. The applicant is subject to the minimum <br />administrative fee of $5,000 for each agreement for which payment has subsequently been received. <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of an Industrial District Agreement, Water Service Agreement and Sanitary <br />Sewer Service Agreement as submitted herein. <br /> <br />Action Required bv Council: <br /> <br />Consider approval of ordinances authorizing the City to enter into an Industrial District Agreement, Water <br />Service Agreement and Sanitary Sewer Service Agreement with Terranova Forest Products. <br /> <br />ADD roved for City Council A2enda <br /> <br />GJ~ \, ~~ <br />Robert T.
