<br />, <br /> <br />e e <br /> <br />1f)61i'd {)/}~: / , . <br /> <br />ORDmAHCB liTO. 2002 - dS IJ 1) YJ -e,',6/- (! t/y end ::t <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A COMMITTEE TO REVIEW THE COUNCIL TRAVEL <br />POLICIES, SUSPBNDING CITY PAYMENT OF COUNCIL SPOUSAL TRAVEL <br />EXPENSES, FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THB OPEN MEETINGS LAW, AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATB HEREOF. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City council hereby appoints the following <br /> <br />named persons to a committee to review the City Council travel <br /> <br />expense policy ordinance, and make recommendations for revisions to <br /> <br />such policies: <br /> <br />Barry Beasley, Chairman <br /> <br />Dr. Ruede Wheeler <br /> <br />Douglas F. Latimer, Jr. <br /> <br />Rod Rothermal <br /> <br />Alton Porter <br /> <br />Lindsay Pfeiffer <br /> <br />Section 2. Pending the review and revision of Council travel <br />policies, the City shall not payor reimburse travel expenses for <br /> <br />City Council spouses. <br /> <br />section 3. The City Council officially finds, determines, <br /> <br />recites, and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, <br /> <br />hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was <br /> <br />posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the <br />City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as <br /> <br />required by the Open Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Texas Government <br /> <br />Code; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required <br />by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject <br />matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally acted <br /> <br />upon. <br /> <br />The City Council further ratifies, approves and confirms <br /> <br />such written notice and the contents and posting thereof. <br />
