<br />e <br /> <br />e <br />\,' <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE No 1~9. <br />JUUf::.IUUU/~'UJJU.YY.'-ff::I!,}I.{'-'lJUL.!f <br />~.r-n-/:' ,H.'-t,,...,Hl-IHt1i II I 7 I;.. .t-:1.'-tt1r <br /> <br />An Ordinance: Granting the Galveston Harrisburg and San <br />Antonto Railway Company, its successors and assigns, the right <br />pr1velege, franchise and easement to construct, maintain and oper- <br />ate a Telegraph line along, upon and across Park Avenue in the Town <br />of La Porte, 'J.farris County, Texas, prescribing the manner in whi,ch <br />said Telegraph line shall be constructed and maintained, and de- <br />claring an emergency. <br /> <br />Be it Ordained: By the Town Council of the Town of La Porte.- <br /> <br />Section One. That the Right, privelege, franchise and easement to <br />construct, maintain and operate a Tolegraph line upon, along and <br />across Park Avenue in the Town of La Porte, Texas, be, and the same <br />is hereby granted the Galveston, Harrisburg and San Antonio Rail- <br />way Company, its successors an d assigns. <br /> <br />I!-HIJ.U.-/J.IIJ/m II f,i/1fJ:ifI;:f#H#/fIl.lt//l!Jlrfh7-HU-IHJJfj;;&,f /II HJJI#U'+I/fII4MI! &1l.81iIMAlUi/f" <br />c~&'#~~M#&1j <br />Section Two. The said Telegraph line to be connected with the <br />present telegraph line of tho said Company at or near t~e ~tation <br />of Sylvan Beach, and tG# extend in a ~outherly direction approxi- <br />mately T~enty (20) feet East of the cente~ line of what is knovm as <br />the said Railway's La Porte ~eabrook 'Extension, or the ~,tain r,oop <br />track to the South boundary line of the Tovm of La Porte. <br />Said Rail~uy Company is granted the right and permission to <br />attach to said poles all cross arms, wires, fixtures, appliances and <br />appurtenances necessary to construct the said Telegraph line in <br />first-class condition. <br /> <br />~ection Three. That the said Railway Company by t.i1e accep- <br />tance of this Brant, agreos to construct and maintain tho said tel- <br />egraph line in good condition. <br /> <br />Section ~our. It being deemed to the best interest of tho <br />Town of La Porte, that said telegraph line be constructed and placod <br />in operation as soon as possible, that an emergency and imperative <br />necessity exists, that the reading of this Ordinance at three meet- <br />ings of the Council be dispensed with, and that this Ordinance <br />shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Approved this the 24th day of August A.D. 1914. <br /> <br />A.
