An Ordinance providing for the levy, assessment and collection of an advalorem tax for the year 1925 of and at the rate of One Dollar and Twenty Five Cents (~1.a5) on the One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation of taxable property in such city for current expenses and for the purpose of construction or the purchase of public buildings, water works, aewersand other permanent improvements within the limits of the City of La Porte, and for the construction and improvements of roads, bridges, and streets of the city of La forte within ita limits~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXA~ There ishereby levied and shall hereafter be assessed and col!ected for the year 1925 on all the taxable property in the City of La Porte, Texas, on t~e 1st day of January of this the year 1925" an a.dvalorem tax of and at the rate of One Dollar and Twenty Five Cents ($1.25) on the One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation of taxable property in said city" estimated in lawful currency of the United States, for current expenses and for the purpose of construc- tion or the purchase.of public buildings, water works, sewers and other permanent improvements within the limits of the City of La'Porte and for the construction and improvements of the roads, bridges, and streets of said city within its limits.
