<br />V~EREAS, at an election held in the City of La Porte,
<br />Texas, on the 7th day of November, 1925, a majority of the
<br />qualified voters who are property tax payers in the City of
<br />La. Porte, Texus, voting at said election, sustained the propo-
<br />sition to issue the bonds hereinafter described for the prin-
<br />cipal sum of fj30,OOO.00 by a vote of LI 0 affirmative votes to
<br />/~ negative votes, and no mutilated ballots, making a
<br />majority in favor of issuing said bonds and levying said tax.
<br />THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIHED by the City Council of
<br />the City of La Porte, Texas:

<br />Section 1.
<br />

<br />That the bonds of said City to be called "CITY OF
<br />LA PORTE Y!ATERWORKS BONDS" be issued under and by virtue of the
<br />Constitution and laws of the State of Texas, includinB Chapter 9,
<br />of the General Laws enacted by the Thirty-seventh Legislature at
<br />its regular session in 1921 and Chapters land 7, Title 22,
<br />Revised statutes of 1925.

<br />Section 2.
<br />
<br />That said bonds shall be numbered consecutively from
<br />1 to 30 inclusive, shall be of the denomination of $1,000.00
<br />,each, aggregating $30,000.00.
