<br />l. That a portion of the East and ~;est alley in Block 183
<br />of the city of Laporte, being that part of such alley running from 8th
<br />Avenue E~stward to the North and South alley in said block, being a tract
<br />of land 16 feet wide East Elnd ~ies t by one hundred and twenty five (125)
<br />feet North and South; and ~eing the alley between part of Lot 1 and all
<br />of Lots 3, 4 and 5 on the ~:ast, and Lot 6 on, the ij:fest, out of said Block
<br />183, and which said alley has been heretofore open to the public use, be
<br />and the same 'is hereby closed, and the same shall not henceforth be oc-
<br />cupied or used by the, ci ty of Laporte, or the ci tizens thereof, as a pub-
<br />lic way.

<br />2~ That ,the Mayor and City ~ecretary of the City of Laporte,
<br />in considerationof the sum of ~~ ~o~p to be paid into the City 'llreasury
<br />of the City of Laporte, execute, acknowledge and deliver to the Seaboard
<br />:;{ealty & Building Compa11y; a corporation, a quit claim deed, quit claiming
<br />all of the ri,ght, ti tIe, claim and interest of the said city of Laporte
<br />in and to the alley way above described to the said Jeaboar.d Healty &
<br />Building Company, a corporation.
