<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />the purpose of supplying and distributing gas for lights. fuel, <br />power and heat. and for any other purpose, to the residents <br />or inhabi'tante of the Oi ty of La Porte, Harris Oounty, Texas. <br />and to others; and for the purpose of oonveying, conducting <br />or distributing gaR through the limits of said City to any <br />point or points within or beyond the limits of said City for <br />the distribution and sale of natural gas or manufaotured gas to <br />the City of La Porte. Harris Oounty, Texas, and to the residents <br />or inbabi tants thereof, and to any and 8,11 others. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Throughout this ordinance the Houston Natural Gas <br />Company is referred to as the "Oompany", and the Oi ty of La Porte <br />as the IICi ty". and this grant and all limi tations upon the <br />same herein contained shall inure to and be binding upon the <br />successors and aseigns of the Company. <br /> <br />Section 2: When the pipes of the Oompany are laid <br />in the streets, avenues, thoroughfares, alleys, parke, lanes, <br />squares and other publiC plA.ces they sha.ll be laid in accord- <br />ance wi th the lines and grades esta,blishedby the 01 ty: pro- <br />vided, that such pipes may be laid at a minimum depth of eighteen <br />(lg) inches. <br /> <br />Section 3: In the opening and, refilling of all <br />openings made by the Campa.ny, 1 t shall rela.y the pavements <br />and do all other work necessary to complete restoration of <br />the streets, sidewalks or grounds so opened to a oondition <br />equa.llyas good a.s llIThen disturbed. When the Company shall <br />open any ground in said City for the purpose of laying any <br />-pipe, or for a.ny other purpose whatever, the Company shall not <br />keep the same open for a.ny longer time than is neoessary to <br />execute properly the work for which same shall have been <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br />. ..~: <br /> <br />\ <br />
