<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />ft. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. ~ fJ) 3- <br /> <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF THE THREE ALDER- <br /> <br /> <br />MEN TO BE ELECTED IN APRIL, 1943, PROVIDING WHEN SUCH COMPENSATION <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />SHALL BE PAID AND THAT SUCH COMPENSATION SHALL BE PAID OUT OF THE <br />GENERAL FUNDS OF THE CITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF <br />ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORT , <br />HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS: <br />i Section 1. That the three aldermen to be elected at the <br />I <br />'general election to be held in April, 1943, shall receive, as their <br />compensation during their term ot office, the sum of Five Dollars <br />($5.00) each for each regular meeting ot the City Council of said <br />., City, not to exceed two such meetings per month. <br />Section 2. That all the compensation provided for in thi <br />Ordinance shall be paid to the proper persons, by warrant drawn on <br /> <br />the general funds of the City of La Porte, on or after the 1st day <br />of each month following that for which such compensation may be due <br />Section 3. That all Ordinances and resulutions and parts <br />of Ordinances and/or resolutIons heretofore passed, Which are in <br />contlict herewith, are hereby repealed by this Ordinance. <br />Section 4. . That an emergency exists constituting an im- <br />perative public necessity that the rule requrIng Ordinances to be <br />read at three several meetings be suspended and that this Ordinance <br />,4t be passed finally on its first readlngj and that this Ordinance tak <br />effect and be in foroe from and after its passage and approval, and <br />it is so ordained. <br /> <br />Passed and approved this the /1 <br />A.
