<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />SECTION 2 - SUPERVISION BY CITY OF LOOATION OF POLES <br />AM> C OlIDUrr. <br /> <br />All poles to be plac~d shall be of sound material and <br />reasonably straight, and shall be so set that they will <br />not interrere with the flow of water 1n any gutter or <br />drain, and so that the same will interfere as little as <br />practicable with the ord1na~ travel on the street or <br />sidewalk. The location and route or all poles, stubs, <br />guys, anchors, conduits and oables to be placed and <br />oonstructed by the Telephone Company in the oonstruotion <br />and maintenanoe of its telephono system in tho City, and <br />the location of all conduits to be laid by the Telephone <br />Company wi~h1n the limits of the City under this ordinance, <br />shall be Dubject tp the reasonable and proper regulation, <br />control and direotion of the City Councilor ot any City <br />offioial to whom such duties have bf)e~ or may be delegated. <br /> <br />SECTION :5 - STRF~S TO BE RESTORED TO GOOD COIIDITION. <br /> <br />The surface of any street, alley, highway, or public place <br />disturbed by the Tolephone Compa.ny 1n bUilding, construoting, <br />renewing or lnalntaln1ng its telophone plant and system shall <br />be restored within a reasonable time after the oompletion <br />of the work to as good a condition as betore the oommence- <br />ment ot the work and maintained to the satisfaotion or the <br />Oity Councilor or any Oity offioial to whom Buch duties <br />have been or may be delegated, tor one yoar from tlw date <br />the surface of said street, alley, highway or public <br />place 1s broken t"or such oonstruotion or maintenance work, <br />after whIch time responsibility for the maintenanoe shall <br />beoome the duty of the Oity. No street, alley, highway <br />or pUblio place shall be encumbered tor a longer period <br />than shall be necessary to execute the work. <br /> <br />SECTION" .. OPERATION AIm MAIN'l'ENAlfOE OF TELEPHONE PLANT. <br /> <br />The T~lephone Company shall maintain its system in reason- <br />able operating condition at all normal times during the <br />conti:numce ot this asreeme'nt. An exception to this con.. <br />dltion 1s automatioally in effect when servioe f'urnlshed <br />by the Telephone Oompany is interrupted, impaired, or <br />prevented b'y tires, strikes, riots, or other ooourrenoes <br />beyond the oontrol ot the TelephonG Company, or by storms, <br />.floods, or other casualties, in any ot wh10h events the <br />Telephone Oompany shall do all things, relllonably within <br />its power to do, to restore normal serv'ice. <br /> <br />SECTION 5 - TSHPORARY RE~IOVAL OF YlIRES.. <br /> <br />The TOle,phone Oompany on tho reque,st or sny person shall <br />remove or raise or lower its wires temporarily to permit <br />the mov1ns or houses or other bulky structures. ~e expense <br /> <br />-2- <br />
