No structure whose walls are wholly, or in <br />pELrt, constructed of wood, shall hereafter be built or moved into <br /> <br />. <br />the fire limits as herein designated or as they may hereafter be <br /> <br />e~ltab11shed except as follows: <br /> <br />(a) Temporary one-story frame build.ings for <br />the use of builders, <br /> <br />(b) Wooden fences not over 8 feet high with- <br />out cover or roof. <br /> <br />Any existing frame or ironclad building, within the fire <br />\ limits, which may hereafter.be damaged by fire, decay or otherwise, <br />i <br />/ <br /> <br />to an amount greater than one-half of its present value exclusive <br /> <br />of the foundation shall not be repaired or rebu1lt, but shall be re- <br />moved. Extensions to or remodel~ng to change the type of construction <br />of existing buildings shall not be considered as repairs. Repairs <br />to existing wood shingle roofs shall be limited to minor repairs, <br />and where exceeding 5<>% of the value of the roof, shall be replaced <br />only with incombustible mater1als. <br />Section 5. Any person viola~1ng any of the provisions of <br />this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a miSdem~anor, and upon con- <br />vi.~tion shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $100.00. Each day <br />a '~iolation is permitted to continue shall constitute a separate <br /> <br />o.(:E'ense. <br /> <br />Section 6. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in- <br />consistent or in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance <br />Shllll be and the same are hereby repealed.. <br />Section 7. The fact the best interest and general wel- <br /> <br />\/ <br /> <br />1'a]:oe of the City require that the regulations made herein be put <br />in1:io effect, constitutes and creates an emergency and a public ne- <br />ceflsity that the rule requiring Ordinances to be read at three sev- <br />ereLl meetings oe suspended and that this Ordinance be passed final- <br />ly on its first reading; and that this Ordinance take effect and be <br />in force from an~ after its passage, approval and publication; and <br />it is so ordained. <br />
