There is hereby levied and shall be assess- <br />ed and collected for the year 1947 on all the taxable property in <br />the City of La Porte, Texas, on the 1st day of January of the year <br />1947, an ad valorem tax of, and at the rate of, One and 50/100 <br />Dollars ($1.50) on each One Hundred Dollar ($100.00) valuation of <br />taxable property in said City, estimated in lawful currency of <br />the United States, for the purpose of paying the interest on, and <br />a sinking fund for the redemption of, One Hundred Forty-eight <br />Thousand Dollars ($148,000.00) "City of La Porte Refunding Bonds, <br />Series 1935", EleventThousand Five Hundred Dollars ($11,500.00) <br />"City of La Porte Sewer Funding Bonds, Series 1938", Fifteen <br />Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) "City of La Porte Sewer Refunding <br />Bonds, Series 1944", Twenty-two Thousand Dollars ($22,OqO.OO) <br />"City of La Porte Water System ~funding Bonds, Series 1946", and <br />for paying current expenses of said City, and levied as follows, <br />to-wit: <br /> <br />.....----- . <br /> <br />tt. <br /> <br />(a) There is hereby levied a tax of Fifteen cents <br />(15t) on each Ond Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation of taxable <br />property in the City of La Porte for the year 1947, for the pur- <br />pose of paying the current ibterest on, and to provide the ne- <br />cessary sinking fund for, the One Hundred Forty-Eight Thousand <br />Dollars ($148,000.00) "City of La Porte Refunding Bonds" issued <br /> <br />,~- <br />
