Two-story buildings may.have walls not less than 8 inches in thickness provided that they have adequate structural strength approved by the building inspector of the CIty. All cor- nices shall be ot incombustible materials. Joint and party walls between two buildin~s shall not be less than 12 inches in thick- ness. The purpose ot this section is to prohibit the erection, within the fire limits, of any building or structure of wooden, stucco or veneer type of construc~ion, or any buildings whose wall contain wood supports. Section 4. No structure whose walls are wholly, or in part, constructed of wood, shall hereafter be built or moved into the tire limits as herein designated or as they may hereafter be es- tablished exoept as follows: (a) Temporary one-story trame buildings for the use of builders. (b) Wooden tsnces not over 8 feet high with- out cover or root. . . Extension to or remodeling to change the type of construct ion of existing buildings shall not be considered as repairs. Re- pairs to existing wood Shingle roofs shall be limited to minor re- pair, and where exceeding 50% of the value of the roof, shall be replaced only with incombustible materials.
