Two-story buildings may.have walls not less than <br />8 inches in thickness provided that they have adequate structural <br />strength approved by the building inspector of the CIty. All cor- <br />nices shall be ot incombustible materials. Joint and party walls <br />between two buildin~s shall not be less than 12 inches in thick- <br />ness. The purpose ot this section is to prohibit the erection, <br />within the fire limits, of any building or structure of wooden, <br />stucco or veneer type of construc~ion, or any buildings whose wall <br />contain wood supports. <br />Section 4. No structure whose walls are wholly, or in part, <br />constructed of wood, shall hereafter be built or moved into the <br />tire limits as herein designated or as they may hereafter be es- <br />tablished exoept as follows: <br />(a) Temporary one-story trame buildings for <br />the use of builders. <br />(b) Wooden tsnces not over 8 feet high with- <br />out cover or root. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Any ~tisting trame or ironcald building, within the fire <br />limits, which may hereafter be damaged by fire, decay or otherwise <br />to an amount greater than one-halt of its present value exclusive <br />of the foundation shall not be repair. or rebuilt, but shall be re <br />moved. Extension to or remodeling to change the type of construct <br />ion of existing buildings shall not be considered as repairs. Re- <br />pairs to existing wood Shingle roofs shall be limited to minor re- <br />pair, and where exceeding 50% of the value of the roof, shall be <br />replaced only with incombustible materials. <br />
