<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />~ensed veterinarian on or before April 5 of each year and it is <br />further provided herein that every Veterinarian who vaccinates any <br />such dog, within the City of La Porte, Texas, shall collect his <br />fee for same from the owner of the dog and shall issue a cerf1ficate <br /> <br />of vaccination to such owner, stating the name of the owner, a <br /> <br />brief description of the dog, the date of vaccination and the fee <br />collected by him for same. <br />Whenever any person has complied with the provisions of <br />the preceding sections of the said dog tax is lost or otherwise <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />destroyed, it shall be the duty of said owner or keeper of said <br />dog to procure another tag from the City Clerk by paying the value <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />of said tag and all costs that may have accrued as hereinafter pro- <br />v id ed . <br /> <br />Section 5. It shall be. the duty of the Dog Catcher to <br />capture and impound in a pen to be provided by the City for that <br />purpose and called the "Dog Pound" and any dog found running a:b <br />large within the City of Ea Porte, Texas, without a tag as provided <br />for under the terms of this ordinance and if such dog.is not re- <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />deemed and reclaimed and taken from said pound within the time re- <br />quired under the p~ovisions of this Ordinance, then the Dog Catcher <br />shall advertise said dog for sale seventy-two hours by posting one <br />notice of said sale at the door of the city hall, which notice <br />shall give the time and place of sale and shall, if not redeemed, <br />sell ~aid dog at ~blic auction and if no one shall bid upon the <br />same, the amount of charges due on said dog, the said dog shall be <br />bought by the city at once and killed by the Dog Catcher . <br />Section 6. (a) The owner or keeper of any dog or dogs <br />captured or impounded under the provisions of this Ordinance shall <br />be permitted and allowed at any time within seventy-two hours af- <br />ter :;Iuch_.~?g or dogs shall have been impounded, to redeem, reclaim <br />.. <br /> <br />- <br />-:.-' <br /> <br />and again receive possession of said dog or dogs, upon payment to <br />the Dog Catcher of the sum "of firty cents (50~) per day or frac- <br />tional part thereof during which time said dog or dogs may have <br /> <br />been impounded for every such dog so impounded which sum so paid <br /> <br />to him shall by the Dog Catcher be paid over to the City Clerk <br />~gr deposit with the Treasurer for the use and benefit of the <br />
