I ... <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />SECTION '1'1;JO: That the plumbing work now being done by some individuals <br />within the City of La Porte, Texas, is far below the standard normally <br /> <br />accepted in good plumbing practices and in many instances plumbing work <br /> <br />has been done in such a manner as to create a health hazard within the <br /> <br />City and, therefore, because of public nec~ssity, it is hereby declared <br />final <br />imperative that this Ordinance be declared/immediately upon the passage <br /> <br />thereof, except as to the provisions thereof which impose a fine for the <br /> <br />violation of any provisions of this Ordinance, vmich excepted provisions <br /> <br />shall become effective after compliance with the provisions of the para- <br /> <br />graph immediately following. <br /> <br />SECTION THREE: If aqy section or any part of this Ordinance or the adopted <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />City of Houston Ordinance, as amended, shall be held to be contrar,y to the <br /> <br />provisions of Title 109A Vernon's Revised Civil Statutes, being Article <br /> <br />6243-101, et seq, then, and in such event the provisions of said Article <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />shall control and should any section or any part of this Ordinance or the <br /> <br />adopted Hourston Ordinance as amended be held invalid for other reasons, such <br /> <br />invalidity shall not effect the remaining portions thereof; it being the <br /> <br />express intention of the City Commission to enact such Ordinance without <br /> <br />respect to such section or part so held to be invalid or without respect <br /> <br />to such section or part deemed contrary to the provisions of said Article <br /> <br />6243-101. <br /> <br />t SECTION FOUR: The City Clerk is hereby authorized to have the adopted <br />Ordinance, as amended, published in book form; such publication to follow <br /> <br />the adopted Ordinance '8Xcept as herein amended and when such Ordinance is <br /> <br />published, it shall be as fully binding to the the same extent and effect <br /> <br />as if written herein in its entirety, and until such Ordinance is so pu- <br /> <br />b1ished, the Ordinanc~ of the City of Houston, Texas, together with this <br /> <br />Ordinance setting forth the amendments thereto shall be binding upon all <br /> <br />plumbers who follow the occupation w,ithip. ,the City of La Porte, Texas. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />SECTION FIVE: THAT, the City Clerk of the City of La Porte, in accordance <br />with the provisions contained in Section 25 of the Charter of said City shall <br />give notice of the passage of this Ordinance by causing the title of such <br />
