. . .'.., . . ,'-- -'-"l / .. , ORDINANCE NO. 4l6-A AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5 OF ORDINANCE NO. 416, BY INCREASING THE AUTHORIZED AND PRESCRIBED FEE TO BE PAID TO THE CITY FOR THE CATCHING OF EACH STRAY DOG FROM THE SUM OF ONE AND 50/100 DOLIARS ($1.50) TO THE SUM OF THREE DOLIARS ($3.00). BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF IA PORTE: Section 1. Section 5 of Ordinance No. 416, passed and approved by the City Commission of the City of La Porte on September 7, 1951, is hereby amended to read as follows: IISection 5. Redemption of impounded dogs. The person en- titled to the possession of any dog taken up and delivered to the Cit:x dog pound, upon proper application within three days from the date of impounding said dog, shall be entitled to have the dog delivered to him~ provided, that such dog is not affected or thought to be affected with rabies, hydrophobia, mange or other infections or contagious disease, upon the payment of $3.00 impounding fee for each and every dog impounded in accordance with the provisions of this article and in addition thereto, in the case of unlicensed dogs, upon the payment of the current year's license fee of $1.00, plus 50st.. 'per day for each day of care by the City." Section 2. As hereinabove amended, the said Ordinance No. 416 shall remain in full force and effect.
