WHl!l:lEAS, on August 7, 1952, Ordinance No. 't2 '1. was duq passed, .m .umer the terms thereof certain territar;y within the bowdar;r limits of' the City of' La Porte was discontinued as a part of' add !3ity and the said territory thereby ceased to be a part of sa~d city; aJ:il BRE'AS, it is desired to mora particu1ar~ describe the territory so discontinued as a part of' the said ciV and disannaxed from said city, said ordinance is therefore amended am repassed so as to read as tallows, to-wit: NOW, TIEHEFOIfF.=, be it ordained by the City Commission or the City of La Porte: SECTION OlE: That the territory hereafter described com- prising an area in excess ot ten (10) acres be discontinued as a put of' the City ot La Porte, Texas, and f'rom and after the ef'f'ective date of' this ordinance said territory shall cease to be a part of said city, aD1 that the maps of' the City of' La Porte, Texas, on f'Ue in the attice of' the" City Clerk, showing the boundary limits of said city, be and are hereby amelJied so as to show the true bowdary of the city thereafter; that the territory hereby discontinued as a part of said city and relinquished is described as follows, to-wit: All the area and territory comprising the City ot La Porte, Texas, as of August 0, 1952, SAVEl AND EXCEPT, however, the following (1) All ot the territory lying within the or:lg1na1 boundary limits at the CiV ot La Porte, Texas, as said boundary limits are reterred to in Article 1, Section Two, page 2 at the HoIlS Rule Charter of' the City of' La Porte, and as shown on the map records in Vol. 8, page 16, at the Map Records of' Harris County, Texas, to which reter in aid hereof.
