Herrera <br />City Manager <br />City of La Porte <br />City Hall <br />La Porte, Texas <br />Dear Bob: <br />At your request, I have examined letter from HL&P to the City of La <br />Porte, dated October 22, 1991, requesting a revised procedure for <br />franchise fee payments. <br />I have reviewed the proposed agreement, and find no objection to it. <br />It seems the proposed agreement would enhance the City's cash flow <br />from HL&P, compared to the present annual payments. <br />You might want to have Jeff Litchfield examine the agreement, to see <br />if the method of crediting the City's electric accounts, would <br />present him any undue problems in posting the City's books as to <br />that expense item. <br />I have prepared an approval ordinance, in the event you wish to <br />recommend this matter to City Council. <br />Yours very truly, <br />~G~ / - <br />Knox W.
