Head: <br />The City Commission of La Porte, at its regular meeting on October 17, <br />I458~ repealed Ordinance No. 49d~ passed by Lhe Commission on Hard 2O, <br />195b~ Ordinance No. 53d, passed by the Commission on i~areh 26, i959, <br />mhicb ameeded Ordinance ~Vo, 494, and the last amending ordinanee~ No. <br />545 rhicb Nas passed by the Commission on July 2, 1956. <br />Thereafter the City Commission approved and passed Ordinance Flo. 550, <br />annexing sebstantially the same territory to the City of La Porte. ~ <br />copy of Ordinance No. 553 is enclosed for-your use and converzienee. <br />This near ordinance kill be published in the newspaper on October 24, <br />195$ and thereafter a Hearing uill be bald for all parties N6o wish <br />to contest the ordinance. The City Commission bas fixed the date for <br />such tearing at 7:00 P. ~1,, December 5, 1950, at tba City Hali is La <br />D Porte. <br />This procedure is being followed in order to eliminate as many issues <br />as possible and should not be copstruod to ba a termiaatioQ of our ne- <br />gotiations.
