<br />±HAD IN THE MATTER OF CERTAIN PROPOSED EXTENSIONS OF THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY
<br />~OF LA PORTS AS COMMENCED BY ORDINANCE N0. 494, PASSED ON ITS FIRST READING ON
<br />'THE 20TH DAY OF MARCH, A. D. 1956, AND AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE N0. 534, PASSED
<br />'ON ITS FIRST READING ON THE 26th DAY OF MAF-CH, A. D. 1958, AND AS FURTHER AMENDED'
<br />'°. BY ORDINANCE N0. 545, PASSED ON ITS FIRST READING ON THE 2ND DAY OF JULY, A. D.
<br />;1958, ANNULLING, CANCELLING AND REPEALING EACH OF SAID ORDINANCES; PROVIDED THAT
<br />;THIS SHALL NOT AFFECT THE POKIER OF THE CITY AND ITS COMMISSION BY ANY NEt~ OR
<br />FURTHER PROCEEDINGS, TO ANNEX- TO THE CITY ALL OR ANY PART OF THE AREA PROPOSED
<br />TO HAVE BEEN ANNEXED BY SAID ORDINANCE N0. 494, BY SAID ORDINANCE N0. 534, AND
<br />5BY SAID ORDINANCE N0. 545.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS, TEXAS, THAT:
<br />Section 1. Ordinance No. 494, passed on its first reading by the
<br />3
<br />;;Commission of the City of La Porte on the 20th day of i~farch, A.
<br />D. 1956, and
<br />Ordinance No. 534, passed on its first reading on the 26th day of March, A. D.
<br />1958, amending said Ordinance No. 494, and Ordinance No. 545, passed on its
<br />first reading on the 2nd day of July, A. D. 1958, amending Ordinance No. 534,
<br />;and each of the said ordinances, are hereby cancelled, annulled and repealed.
<br />~~ Section 2. It is expressly provided that this ordinance cancelling, 3
<br />;annulling and repealing each of the said three ordinances shall not affect in
<br />;;any manner the power of the City of La Porte and its Commission, by any new or
<br />!!further proceedings, to annex to the City all or any part of the area proposed
<br />,~
<br />r
<br />';-to have been annexed by the three said ordinances,
<br />'' Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
<br />~`safter its passage and approval.
