In the event the election of a Mayor or a Commissioner <br /> <br />cannot be determined because of a tie vote, the City Commis- <br /> <br />sion shall call a Special Election within thirty (30) days <br /> <br />to determine the winner between the candidates receiving such <br /> <br />tie vote, and the candidate receiving the highest number of <br /> <br />qualified votes in such special election shall be declared <br /> <br />elected. The four (4) positions of Commissioners on the City <br /> <br />Commission shall be numbered One (1), Two (2), Three (3) <br /> <br />and Four (4), and at the first regular meeting of the City <br /> <br />Commission after the results of the regular City Election <br /> <br />on the fourth Tuesday in April, 1960, have been declared, <br /> <br />the four (4) Commissioners elected shall determine by lot <br /> <br />the number of the position of each Commissioner. In all <br /> <br />subsequent elections all candidates for City Commissioner <br /> <br />shall be voted on and elected separately for positions on <br /> <br />said City Commission, and all candidates shall be desig- <br /> <br />nated on the official ballot according to the number of <br /> <br />such positions to which they seek election." <br /> <br />Section 2. Said election shall be conducted and held at the <br /> <br />City Hall in the City of La Porte, Harris County, Texas (all of <br /> <br />said City being included in one (1) election precinct), and the <br /> <br />following named persons are hereby appointed officers to conduct <br /> <br />said election: <br /> <br />Judge <br /> <br />1ffiS.
