<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Ordinance No. t /?-~ Page 3 <br />Boulevard and shall not proceed onto or across Bayshcre Drive <br />unless and until it is clear to the operator of the vehicle so <br />stopped that there is no other vehicle approaching the inter- <br />section of Bayshore Drive and Garfield Boulevard within a dis- <br />tance of 200 feet. <br />Section 11. Any vehicle approaching Bayshore Drive <br />traveling East on East J Street shall come to a complete stop <br />before entering the intersection of Bayshore Drlve and East J <br />Street and shall not proceed onto or across Bayshore Drive unless <br />and until it is clear to the operator of the vehicle so stopped <br />that there is no other vehicle approaching the intersection of <br />East J Street and Bayshore Drive within a distance of 200 feet. <br />Section 12. Any person operating a vehicle who fails <br />to bring said vehicle to a complete stop at a point heretofore <br />designated as a stop before entering an intersection shall be <br />guilty of failing to stop and shall be fined not less than $10.00 <br />nor more than $200.00. <br />Section 13. Any person operating a veh~e from a point <br />heretofore designated as a stop, who proceeds into the intersection <br />and at the time of entry onto the intersecting street, there is in <br />fact another vehicle approaching said intersection within a. distance <br />of less than 200 feet shall be guilty of negligently operating$id <br />vehicle and shall be fined not less than $10.00 nor more than $200.00. <br />Section 14. Any person operating a vehicle from a point <br />heretofore designated as a stop, who proceeds into the intersection <br />and his vehicle is involved in a collision, whether his vehicle is <br />struck or is the striking vehicle, within the intersection or within <br />50 feet thereof shall be guilty of negligent collision and shall be <br />fined not less than $10.00 nor more than $200.00. <br />Section 15..Should any section of this ordinance con- <br />flict with any ordinance hen:tofore adopted by the City Commission <br />of the City of La Porte, the terms and provisions of this Ordinance <br />shall prevail and such conflicting portions of the prior ordinance <br />are hereby repealed. <br />Section 16. This ordinance shall become effective and <br />be in force from and after its passage, approval and publication <br />
