WHEREAS, the City of La Porte has heretofore adopted a Home Hule Charter authoriz it to annex territory and extend the corporate limits of said city by action of the City Commission; and, WHEHEAS, the hereinafter described land is adjacent to the present city limits of the City of La Porte and members of the City Commission of the City of' La Porte have concluded that said al'ea should be annexed and made a part of the City of' La Porte, 'Texas; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COJVIMISSION OF THS CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the following described territory be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of La Porte, Texas, and the boundary limits of the City of La Porte be, and the same are hereby extended to include the following descI'ibed territory wi thin the city limits of the City of La Porte, and the same shall hereafter be included within the territorial limits of said city, a,ld the inbabi- tants thereof shall hereafter be entitled to all rights and privileges of other citizens of the City of La Porte, and they shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and l'egulations of said city. That the territory to be so annexed is more particularly described as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at the intersection of the East right-of-way line of State Highway 13Lj. (also known as Battleground Hoad) with the North line of the 'l'exas Alkyls, Inc., 12. '7'79 acre trac t as described in that certain deed from Phillips Petroleum Company to 'Texas Alkyls, Inc., dated May 22, 1959, and re- corded in Volume 3712, Page 95 of the Deed Records of Harris County, Texas;
