<br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />election, and such elected officials shall assume their duties <br /> <br />within ten (10) days thereafter, Sundays excluded. <br />Section 5. Notice of said election shall be given by <br />publication in the La Porte Liberal, not less than thirty (30) <br />days prior to the date of the said election, of the following <br /> <br />notice: <br /> <br />IlNOTICE OF ELECTION <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />I, H. P. Pfeiffer, Mayor of the City of <br />La Porte, Texas, by virtue of the power vested <br />in me by law, do hereby order that an election <br />be held in the said City of La Porte, Texas, on <br />the 25th day of April, 1961, for the purpose of <br />electing two (2) Commissioners of said City, <br />and that said election shall be held at the City <br />Hall in said City between seven o'clock (7:00) <br />A. M. and seven o'clock ~:OO) P. M. on said <br />date, and the following named persons are the <br />appointed officials of said election, to-wit: <br /> <br />Judge - MRS. H. M. RALSTON <br />Assitant Judge - MRS. OTIS HARRISON <br />Clerk - MRS. LOIS COMPTON <br />Clerk - MRS. REX BAKER <br />Clerk - MRS. HALLIE WRIGHT <br /> <br />sf H.P.Pfeiffer <br />H. P. P~ffer, Mayor of the <br />City of La Porte, Texas <br /> <br />and further notice of said election shall be given by posting a <br />. copy of this ordinance at the City Hall for thirty (30) days next <br />preceding said election. <br />Section 6. Upon a candidate tendering his application <br />on the form prescribed, the ~ty Clerk shall furnish to such can- <br />didate all information relative to the qualifications for the <br /> <br />office being sought; the method of placing the candidate's name <br />on the ballot; the amount of the required filing fee; and any <br /> <br />other pertinent information concerning said election. <br /> <br />Section 7. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and di- <br /> <br />rected to give notice of said election in accordance with Section <br /> <br />5 hereof. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Section 8. The filing fee for each candidate shall be <br /> <br />$50.00. <br />
