Section 44. Armored Cable Type ACL Cable Shall Not Be Used Under Ground or Embedded in Con- crete. Section 45. Flexible Metallic Conduit may be used for temporary work, for connection to store fix- tures, for connection to light fixtures installed within buildings, for electrie range connection, and for motor connection. Connections to individual light fixtures may not exceed 8 feet in length, and connections to motors or ranges may not exceed 4 feet in length. Section 46. Non-Metallic Sheathed Cable or Knob and Tube Wiring shall be used only for Residential work, and apartment houses. Conductors in or on all tile and masonry walls of such buildings shall be encased in rigid conduit, electrical metallic tub- ing, BX or BXL cable. The term "journeyman electri. cian," however, shall not include an "apprentice" and nothing herein shall be construed as prohibit- ing an apprentice from doing electrical work under the direct, constant, personal supervision and cun- trol of either a master electrician or journeyman electrician. Registration of Journeymen Electri- cians: No person shall undertake an.y work as a journeyman electrician, as that term IS defined in Section 5, unless such person shall have first regis- tered with the electrical board and received his certificate from said board as a journeyman elec- trician. Applications for such certificates shall be made in writing to the electrical board, stating the name and address of the applicant, a statement as to the active and practical experience of the applicant and such other relevant information as mar be required by the Electrical Board.
