II BY INCREASING THE ELECTRICAL BOARD FROM THREE MEMBERS TO FIVE MEMBERS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY "THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. Ordinance No. 664 of the City of La Porte, passed and approved on 'January 18, 1963, popularly known as "City of La Porte Electrical Code", is hereby amended to read as follows, to-wit: "Section 1. . :Electrical Board. There is hereby created an Electrical Board, which shall consist of five members. The five members of the Board shall be'appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Commission. Each of said five positions shall be numbered. "Position No. 1 shall be filled by an electrical engineer in the employ of a Public Utility Company. "Position No. 2 shall be filled by a member of the City Commission of the City of La Porte, Texas. "Positions No. 3 arid 4 shall each be filled by a Master Electrician, .licensed in the City of La Porte. "Position No.5 shall'be filled by the City Attorney of the City of La Porte. liThe first appointment to the Electrical Board created hereby shall be made immediately after the final passage hereof, and each appointee shall serve until April 30 of the next even-numbered year, or until his successor has been appointed and qualified. Appointments thereafter shall be made on or after May l' of each even-numbered year, and shal~ take effect from the date of appointment. All appointments except the first shall be for a two-year period until April 30 of the next even- numbered year, provided, however, each member of the Board shall serve until his successor has been appointed and qualified. Any
