<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 664-G <br /> <br />". <br />~ <br />- .. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING O~INANCE 664, BY ADDING A SECTION <br />PROHIHITING THE USE OF ALUMINUM CONDUCTORS EXCEPT AS OUTSIDE <br />AERIAL'CONDUCTORS; PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE <br />TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A MIS- <br />DEMEANOR, AND UPON CONVICTION SHALL BE FINED IN ANY SUM NOT <br />EXCEEDING TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00); AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED' BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. Ordinance No. 664 of the City of La Porte, <br /> <br />popularly known as the "City of La Porte Electrical Code", <br /> <br />heretofore passed and approved on the l8th day of January, <br /> <br />1963, is hereby amended, by adding thereto a Section 32-A, <br /> <br />which shall read as follows: <br /> <br />". <br /> <br />"Section 32-A. :~luminum conductors may not be used in <br />any wiring within buildings, nor in any underground service <br />conductors. Aluminum conductors may only be used as outside <br />aerial conductors from a weatherhead to a pole; from a pole <br />to a pole; and from a weatherhead to a weatherhead. II <br /> <br />Section 2. Any person, as defined in Sectlon 1.07(27), <br /> <br />Texas Penal Code, who shall violate any provision of this <br />. ,.. <br /> <br />ordinance, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon <br />conviction shall be punished by a fine not to exceed Two <br /> <br />Hundred Dollars ($200.00), and in case of wilful and contin- <br /> <br />uous violation of the,provisions of this Ordinance by any <br /> <br />such person or his or its agent, the City Commission shall <br /> <br />-. <br /> <br />~ . w' . <br /> <br />have th~ power to revoke and repeal all permits and privileges <br /> <br />granted to said person or agent. <br /> <br />Section 3.'
