<br />AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING THE MAYOR PRO-TEM, THE CITY
<br />CLERK, ASSISTANT CITY CLERKS, CLERK, OF THE CORPORATION
<br />COURT, CHIEF OF POLICE, MANAGER OF MUNICIPAL AIRPORT,
<br />OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER, JUDGE OF THE CORPORATION COURT,
<br />DEPOSITOR Y FOR THE CITY OF LA PORTE, FIRE MARSHALL, FIRE
<br />CHIEF, DIRECTOR OF CIVIL DEFENSE, CITY ATTORNEY, CITY
<br />INSPECTOR, CITY ENGINEER AND CITY HEALTH OFFICER.

<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
<br />LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT:
<br />
<br />Section 1. FRANK G. BAKER is hereby appointed Mayor
<br />. Pro-Tern for the term beginning on the 1st day of May, A. D., 1964, and
<br />
<br />ending at midnight the 31st day of October, A. D., 1964; RUSSELL
<br />
<br />SHEPHERD is hereby appointed Mayor Pro-Tern for the term beginning
<br />
<br />the 1st day of November, A. D., 1964, and ending at midnight the 30th
<br />
<br />day of April, A. D. ,1965; TOM W. OSBURN is hereby appointed Mayor
<br />
<br />Pro-Tern for the term beginning on the 1st day of May, A. D., 1965, and
<br />
<br />ending at midnight on the 31st day of October, A. D., 1965; W. A. STABS
<br />
<br />is hereby appointed Mayor Pro-Tern for the term beginning the 1st day
<br />
<br />of November, A. D., 1965, and ending at midnight the 30th day of
<br />
<br />
<br />. April, A. D., 1966, and the said FRANK G. BAKER, RUSSELL
<br />
<br />
<br />SHEPHERD, TOM W. OSBURN and W. A. STABS shall serve in such
<br />
<br />office during the absence or incapacity of the Mayor and shall do all
<br />
<br />things, perform all duties and in fact have all the powers and duties of
<br />
<br />the l\Aayor of the City of La Porte for their respective terms, during such
<br />
<br />absence or incapacity of the Mayor.
<br />
<br />Section 2. , CLOVIS D. MANN is hereby appointed City Clerk,
<br />
<br />Director of Finance and Tax Assessor and Collector, and shall serve in
<br />
<br />such office for the term beginning the 1st day of May, A. D., 1964.
