<br />.. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />. , <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO..705-C <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE .AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 705 (AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING <br />RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE PLATTING OR RE-PLATTING OF <br />LAND IN THE SUBDIVISIONSIN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND WITHIN THE <br />EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE CITY.OF LA PORTE); AND <br />PROVIDING THAT ANY ~ERSON VIOLATING THE TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE <br />SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND UPON CONVICTION <br />SHALL BE FINED IN ANY SUM NOT LESS THAN TEN DOLLARS ($10.00) NOR <br />MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED 'DOLLARS ($200.00) AND EACH DAY OF VIOLATION <br />SHALL BE DEEMED A SEPARATE OFFENSE; AND PROVIDING AN -EFFECTIVE <br />DATE HE REOF . . <br /> <br />BE IT ORDJ~INED. BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, <br />TEXAS, THAT: <br /> <br />.,. <br /> <br />Section l. Section 5.0l, Par~graph 13, of City of <br />La Porte Ordin.;1nce No. 705,. is hereby amended by adding thereto <br /> <br />a Subpar~graph "c",as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br />(c) The subdivider shall provide street name s~gns as <br />follows: <br /> <br />l. At least one sign shall be erected at each <br />intersection. . Each such sign shall be double <br />faced to show the names of' the two. intersecti!lg <br />streets. <br /> <br />-' <br /> <br />2. Such signs shall be constructed of 61f extruded <br />aluminum blanks with green "Scotchlite" or <br />equivaient reflective backing, .and 4" white <br />"Scotchlite" or equivalent reflective upper <br />case letters. Suffix copy shall be 2" h~gh. <br /> <br />3. Such signs shall be mounted on 2" galvanized <br />pipe or tubing, ,101 in length. Such pipe.: or <br />tubing shall' be set in concrete, so that the <br />top thereof is 81 above, ground level. <br /> <br />4. Such signs shall be placed on the same corner <br />of each intersection (NW,. ,SE, etc.) wherever <br />possible. <br /> <br />Section 2. Section 5.07 of Ordinance No. 705, sub- <br />o . <br /> <br />paragraph lCc), is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />(c) Front building lines may be reduced to 20' in the <br />case of lots' faci!lg local or residential streets. <br /> <br />~:;ection 3. Penal ties. Any person violating this <br /> <br />Ordinance or any portion thereof shall upon conviction be deemed <br /> <br />guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be. fined not less than Ten <br /> <br />Dollars ($10.00) nor more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) <br /> <br />e--, <br /> <br />and each day that such violation continues shall constitute a <br /> <br />separate oj:fense and be punishable accordingly. <br />
